Silver Dancer Dance Clinic
General Information
All sessions will be taught by the Hendrickson High School Silver Dancers!
Activities Include: Dance and drill technique, Silver Dancer stand routines, choreography, dance games, crafts and more. In the summer clinic there are workshops on appearance, attitude, and projection. There is also an activity to learn dance and drill terminology; along with jazz, novelty, prop, and/or high kick routines.
All participants must wear tennis shoes or dance shoes and clothing suitable for free and easy movement (such as t-shirts and shorts or leotards and tights).
Fall and Spring Dance Clinic (one day only- 10a-5p): Clinic participants will be provided lunch and a mid-afternoon snack at no extra charge. However there will be other snack and drink items available for purchase during the lunch break. Fall Dance Clinic Participants are invited to perform at the Hendrickson football game with the Silver Dancers on October 14th. They can be dropped off with the Silver Dancers in the HHS Dance Room at 6:00p. They will walk over to the stands with the Silver Dancers and sit with the team in the stands for the 1st quarter. Everyone will go down to practice during the 2nd quarter, and perform with the Silver Dancers during halftime. After halftime is over, they can be picked up from the stands where the Silver Dancers sit. Spring dance clinic participants are invited to dance at the Silver Dancer Spring Show scheduled the first week-end in May. Participants will receive a voucher for the camper and one adult to get in free for each show they will also receive a dance clinic t-shirt at the Spring Show rehearsal which they will wear for the performance with black shorts, bikers, or pants.
Summer Dance Clinic (one week- Morning Session 8a-12p, Afternoon Session 1p-5p, Full Day Camp 8a-5p): Clinic participants will be provided a snack mid-morning and mid-afternoon each day. Participants who attend all day (both sessions) should bring a sack lunch or money to purchase lunch items. There will be snack and drink items available for purchase during the lunch break. Pizza will be provided by the Silver Dancers Friday evening before the clinic performance. Clinic participants will receive a dance clinic t-shirt on Friday before the SHOWCASE PERFORMANCE. They should wear this t-shirt with black shorts, bikers, or pants. The performance is on Friday at 6:00pm in the Hendrickson PAC and is free for family and friends.
