Silver Dancers
Bethany Dudley is in her third year as the director of the Hendrickson High School Silver Dancers. Ms. Dudley graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and Secondary Education.
Ms. Dudley has been dancing since she was three years old. She danced competitively at Round Rock Repertory Dance Centre. She was an assistant for the Round Rock Junior Star Dancers while in high school. This is when she knew her true calling was going to be in the field of teaching dance. This was reiterated to her while serving as a Junior Social Officer and Senior Lt. Colonel for the McNeil High School Majestics under the direction of Denise Cochran. She was a member of the “Dantzers” competitive team, Sam Houston Dance Spectrum Company, Sam Houston Chodanceco Company, and captain of the Sam Houston Bearkat Hostess Organization.
After graduation from Sam Houston State University in May 2004, she was hired as the Assistant Director of the James Bowie High School Silver Stars. She spent four years as the assistant director of this highly prestigious dance team organization. She is an active member of the Texas Dance Educators Association. Ms. Dudley has also served as the director and choreographer of The University of Mary Hardin Baylor Sader Belles Drill Team in Belton, Texas. She was the director, choreographer, and founder of the award winning organization The Company at Bowie High School. She has choreographed for numerous drill teams, dance classes, and individuals in the Houston and Austin area. Ms. Dudley was named as 2007 Who’s Who of American Teachers. In her free time Ms. Dudley spent a year as a Big for the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization, works as a professional dance adjudicator, and enjoys spending time with her family.
Ms. Dudley is excited to be a part of the Silver Dancer organization, and to work with such hardworking and dedicated young ladies. Ms. Dudley has enjoyed being the Hendrickson Silver Dancers Director and has especially enjoyed watching the organization and ladies grow daily. Her goal is to create an organization with young ladies that have a sense of pride in their performance, willingness to work hard for their goals, know how to conduct themselves as role models for the school, hold themselves accountable for their actions, and are willing to work with the team to accomplish common aspirations. Ms. Dudley believes she is blessed to work with a team that makes this goal easy to accomplish.
